I was admitted to Vierra Falls Church after I fell and broke my shoulder. My friend had visited many skilled nursing facilities in the area, and I am so glad she chose Vierra Falls Church for my first skilled nursing experience. I was admitted to Vierra Falls Church from Virginia Hospital Center after passing out while standing in my driveway, which resulted in a fracture and shattered left hip.
From the moment I arrived, the staff at Vierra have been exceptional. The therapy team, especially Paul and Archie, have been wonderful, compassionate, and incredibly encouraging. During my first week, I was unable to do anything on my own. With their consistent support and motivation, I gradually improved, and by the second week, I was able to stand again.
Today, I’ve regained about 65–70% of my independence and can now use both my walker and wheelchair. I’m truly impressed and grateful for the outstanding care, professionalism, and dedication shown by everyone at Vierra.

Meet our remarkable 98-year-old patient who came to Vierra at Falls Church after a tough hospital stay—two recent falls, a fractured rib, and a pneumothorax.
With a medical history that includes ovarian, bladder, and breast cancer, coronary artery disease, chronic kidney disease, and more—she’s truly a survivor in every sense of the word.
She arrived with significant mobility challenges, but through personalized therapy, ongoing encouragement, and her own
fierce determination, she made incredible progress.
Today, she’s walking independently and heading home.
